SAVE BRAEMAR COALITION
Dominion Energy wants to rebuild the Vint Hill Switching station, located on Vint Hill Road and Reid Lane. Dominion told residents this is a lightweight "upgrade". Their Special Use Permit (SUP) application shows otherwise: They plan to build a heavy industrial substation/switching station complex with massive transformers emitting noise 24x7, a generator the size of a railroad engine, and large amounts of SF-6, one of the world's worst greenhouse gasses. They are trying to convince us it's a simple "upgrade" to avoid the regulation and community opposition that this site deserves. Dominion wants to establish a hub that will enable them to run multiple high voltage lines through our community to power data centers. The Prince William County Board of Supervisors will vote on this
September 22nd, 2026.
Take the time to show up, speak out, and demand the BOCS vote NO. We can win this if you show up!
